We've tagged some courses as meeting the requirements for certain graduate minors and certificates focused on social science research methods:
- The Social Science Research Methods minor, housed in the Department of Sociology, is a multidisciplinary, cross-school minor that draws on faculty from the College of Arts and Sciences, the School of Education, the O'Neill School of Public and Environmental Affairs and other IUB units to provide students the opportunity to pursue a broad-based and comprehensive training program in social science research methods. The minor is open to Ph.D. students at Indiana University (IUB and IUPUI campuses). The program emphasizes advanced training in qualitative and quantitative methods for the analysis of social science data.
- The Certificate in Qualitative Research and Inquiry Methodology, housed in the School of Education, is an online, 12-credit hour program designed to explore opportunities to design and carry out rigorous qualitative research while learning about the latest cutting-edge digital tools and analytic methods for collecting and analyzing qualitative data.
- The Certificate in Quantitative Research and Inquiry Methodology, housed in the School of Education, is an online, 14-credit hour program will enable you to use quantitative methods to answer real-world questions and effectively communicate your findings.
