Stephanie Dickinson

Executive Director, Biostatistics Consulting Center (BCC)

Stephanie received a Master’s degree in Statistics from The Ohio State University, and has worked as a professional statistician for over 15 years. She moved to Indiana University in 2007, where she worked at the Indiana Statistical Consulting Center (ISCC) until transitioning to the Biostatistics Consulting Center (BCC) in 2015 to focus on any health-related research and helps coordinate collaborations in the Department of Epidemiology and Biostatistics. Lilian Golzarri Arroyo

Biostatistician II, Biostatistics Consulting Center (BCC)

Lilian graduated from the IU Department of Statistics Master’s degree program in 2015, where she gained experience in the Statistical Consulting Center working with a variety of clients including many from SPH. After graduation, she worked as a financial data analyst for three years with the Mexican institute of Social Security before returning to Bloomington to begin her career in Biostatistics. See biostats.indiana.edu.  

Xiwei Chen

Biostatistician I, Biostatistics Consulting Center (BCC)

Xiwei Chen received her Master’s degree in Statistics from the Indiana Department of Statistics last December. She previously earned her bachelor’s degree in Mathematics at Indiana followed by working as a Data Analyst in Information Technology. In addition to statistical consulting at IU, she performed an internship at a technology company in Beijing working in Machine learning techniques. See biostats.indiana.edu.  

Beate Henschel

Biostatistician I, Biostatistics Consulting Center (BCC)

Beate received her MPH in Biostatistics in 2014 from the Epidemiology and Biostatistics Department in the IU School of Public Health-Bloomington. She joined the BCC full-time in January 2020. Prior to coming to IU, she earned a master’s degree in Economics and worked as a labor market researcher for 6 years with the ifo Institute for Economic Research. See biostats.indiana.edu.  

Erin Ables

Biostatistician I, Biostatistics Consulting Center (BCC)

Erin holds a Master’s degree in Psychological and Brain Sciences from Indiana University. She has over 15 years of experience in data analysis, study design, and project management. Erin’s interests include substance use disorder, mental health, program evaluation, and survey methodology. See biostats.indiana.edu.  

Erik Parker

Biostatistician, Biostatistics Consulting Center (BCC)

Erik received a PhD in Biology with a minor in Statistics from IU Bloomington in early 2021 and joined the BCC full-time shortly after. As a PhD student Erik became proficient in the use of general and generalized linear mixed models to analyze biological data. Since starting his career as a biostatistician he has strengthened these skills while also gaining experience in new areas such as: project management, factor analysis, and analyzing weighted survey data.
